We had an absolutely fabulous start to our Macmillan Coffee Weekend at Rivers Edge Country Park! We received so much support from everyone on the park, whether it was by donating fantastic cakes and bakes, entering our many competitions (including a quiz, guessing the weight of the cake and the ultimate favourite, teabag tossing!) or just coming for a cup of tea and donating what they could.

The festivities didn’t stop there, as over the following days we also played guess the length of the vegan sausage roll, guess the bonus ball and the grand biscuit catcher for our resident Pooches – amongst other exciting events!

Everyone got involved and the whole park community came together as one to raise money for such an important cause that has touched so many people. We asked people to add to our memory wall, remembering those who are no longer with us but still mean so much to us, a beautiful display of why this charity is so vital.

We raised an amazing £620, and the McCarthy Family made a VERY generous contribution and matched what we made – so our grand total is an impressive £1240!
