Modern park homes are both cosy and energy efficient.
There are now over 92,000 park homes on some 2,000 sites across the UK. The sector continues to grow as park homes are increasingly in demand across all age groups.
A high level of regulation
Park homes are now manufactured to a high level of regulation. The British Standard for Residential Park Homes, BS 3632:2015, means that new park homes and lodges are built with energy efficiency as a priority. Several key factors including insulation, well fitted doors and windows and efficient combi boilers come together to reduce heat loss and help owners to make savings on heating their homes.
In 2005 BS 3632 was created to help park home construction to fall in-line with traditional forms of housing. In November 2015 the standard was updated, and it continues to build on the principles of the 2005 standard.
This winter’s energy bills are a cause for concern for everyone in the UK. Fortunately, and perhaps contrary to popular opinion, modern park homes are both cosy and energy efficient.
